St. Brigid’s Lives.

Saved from near demolition by an anonymous $20,000,000 donation,  St. Brigid’s Church at the corner of 8th Street and Avenue B is starting to show off its new clothes.

EVGrieve has a post from yesterday where a reader with inside knowledge if the project very generously let’s us in on some of the details.  Living just a block away from this historic church, I am ecstatic that St. Brigid’s didn’t get torn down (as originally planned) to make room for condos.  It’s an incredibly important part of the texture of this fantastic neighborhood.
